Imelda Aguirre, Programs & Services Coordinator, Alzheimer’s Association, Dallas & Northeast Chapter
Imelda Aguirre obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Education at the University of Texas at Dallas. Imelda has worked with non-profits for over ten years and provides health resources and information to under-served communities. She has served on the Vestido Rojo committee since 2013. This is part of the American Heart Association’s movement to empower women to make healthier choices to live free of cardiovascular disease and stroke. In her role at the Alzheimer’s Association as a Coordinator of Programs and Services, Imelda is a staff lead for Latino/Hispanic Outreach at the Dallas & Northeast chapter. She also provides one-on-one care planning, crisis management, and information and referral for families affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
