Erma is a Senior Coordinator for the City of Dallas Economic Development Office, where she is responsible for the contract management of the City’s Business Revolving Loan Programs which have provided approximately 202 business loans totaling an estimated $20,270,565.00 in capital for Dallas business owners. These loans have been used to leverage an estimated $42,439,502 in private investment and have created/retained over 2,024 jobs for Dallas residents since the inception of the programs.
She brings 30 years of community development experience with the ability to building strong relationships with the community. She provides business advice and mentorship to business owners and entrepreneurs. Her objective is to identify economic development opportunities that promote business growth and expansion that will create/retain jobs and increase the city’s tax base.
Erma is dedicated to serving as a facilitator to increase awareness of financial education and women’s and girls’ issues. Her efforts are focused on the promotion of Hispanic women in employment, education, acquisition, social issues and more recently was sworn in as a Court Appointed Child Advocate for Dallas CASA, a non-profit champion for children in foster care.
Erma is actively engaged and advocates for the Southeast Dallas Pleasant Grove Community and in 2016 was appointed by District 4 Trustee Jaime Resendez to serve on the2015 Bond
