Delia D. Jasso, served on the City of Dallas Park and Recreation Board from 2002-2009. In 2005 Mrs. Jasso was elected Vice President of the Board by the Dallas City Council. She was elected to the Dallas City Council in June 2009 to represent District 1, and re-elected in May 2011. While on the council, she created the anti-graffiti symposium, the Dallas Loves Animals committee, and the Dallas LGBT task force. Her district included Bishop Arts and sponsored re-development from 2009-2013 including the Streetcar to Oak Cliff and Bishop Arts reconstruction. She was the Senior Director of Community Relations at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, 2013-2015. Since 2008, Delia is the Chairwoman of the Board of Texans Can Academies and currently runs a consulting business. Mrs. Jasso studied Journalism at Southern Methodist University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree.
