The Southeast Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SEDHCC) Cinco de Mayo Parade & Festival is an annual free family event that celebrates heritage and culture. The parade features school bands, clubs, nonprofit organizations and businesses in the community. The festival include children activities, arts & crafts, food vendors, music, community services, local business promotions, corporate sponsored activities and lots of fun entertainment for the entire family.
The proceeds enable the SEDHCC to provide scholarships for deserving students in the Pleasant Grove area as well as events design to improve the economic and small business development in southeast Dallas.
The 2017 SEDHCC Cinco de Mayo Parade Marshals were the Honorable Judge Juan Jasso and his wife, former Dallas Councilwoman Delia Jasso. Dallas city and county dignitaries along with local organizations also participated in parade and festival.
